I Miss Hong Kong Food!

Recently there are a few friends visited to Hong Kong and shared their trip’s photos on facebook that make me really miss this place especially their food… Here are the list of food that I miss a lot!!

Tim Ho Wan Dim Sum (添好运点心专门店)
Address: 大角咀海庭道18號奧海城二期G樓72號舖
_DSC0070The best dim sum place so far… This is a Michelin 1 star restaurant. I have been visited this place twice during my trip to Hong Kong and both visit I have to queue for more than an hour. Their fried char siew pau is the superstar item of their restaurant. Besides that I love their shrimp dumpling cause it served with a whole big and fresh shrimp unlike the shrimp dumpling in our local dim sum restaurant.

Kam Wah Cafe 金华冰厅
Address: 太子弼街47號地下
_DSC0229Their freshly bake polo bun with butter is superb… I can have 2 polo bun from this shop. hmm… yummylicious

Mak’s Noodle (麥奀雲吞麵世家)
Address: 中環威靈頓街77號地下
IMG_3909細蓉 (sai yong) is the best compared with Mak Man Kee Noodle Shop (麥文記麵家). The wanton noodle is very chewy and the wanton basically you can only feel the prawn which not like the wanton selling in Malaysia where it has pork more than the prawn.

Tai Cheong Bakery (泰昌餅家)
Address: 中環擺花街35號地下
IMG_3926After having wanton noodle from Mak’s Noodle, can enjoy a piece of egg tart from this bakery shop. Their egg tart selling pretty fast tho…

Besides cafe or restaurant, along the roadside there are a lot of stalls selling nice snacks too especially at night all these stall will be crowded.

Eggette (鸡蛋仔)

Chilled Mango Sago Cream with Pomelo (杨枝金露)

Curry Fish Ball (咖喱鱼蛋)

Grilled fried calamari (串烧鱿鱼须)

Hi Jane,

I have to agree with you about those authentic HK cuisines. 🙂 My personal favorite is The Chinese Kitchen, located along Canton Road, just across the Armani Store / Macau – Kowloon Ferry. The restaurant itself is quaint, not readily noticeable against a busy street backdrop, but come rush hour, one can see people lining up at the entrance. The food is great and the serving size is intended for sharing.

My hubby and I are visiting KL next week. Mind if you share about your top pick restaurants in Bukit Bintang?

Thanks and regards.

Ann
